This is what I find: I was unable to do an administrative install of the original package (msiexec /a vviewer.msi) and patch the administrative install with sp1. I restarted in Normal Mode, opened Visio, and the program proceeded to freeze, became basically unresponsive. I was able to open and use Visio without issue. I booted into Safe Mode, and the problem DID NOT occur. what is going on that causes the conflict and misbehaviour.
